It’s been a productive start to the year at REGENT! Here’s an inside look at some of the highlights, from advancing our human-carrying seaglider prototype to celebrating the groundbreaking of our Rhode Island manufacturing center to making waves in the Middle East.

Creating the First Full-Scale Seaglider

We’re in the final stages of integration of our full-scale seaglider prototype, and the team has been hard at work with systems tests and preparation for on-water tests in the coming weeks.

Revitalizing American Manufacturing

We broke ground on the world’s first Seaglider Manufacturing Facility in an event with more than 100 guests including Rhode Island public officials, business leaders, and community members.

The 255,000 square-foot facility, located in the Quonset Business Park in North Kingstown, RI, will enable us to manufacture our all-electric seagliders in the U.S. and create at least 300 jobs over the next 10 years. Coming online in 2026, the facility will house seaglider component manufacturing, vehicle final assembly, and pre-delivery testing for our 12-passenger Viceroy seaglider.

Revolutionizing Coastal Mobility

REGENT Co-founder and CEO Billy Thalheimer took the stage at the World Governments Summit in Dubai, UAE, where he shared insights on the future of maritime mobility, called for public-private partnerships to enable safe, efficient, accessible innovation, and shared the latest updates on seagliders in the UAE.
